Yoga is a traditional philosophy and science originating in India. It includes meditation, mindfulness, lifestyle elements and the physical practice of Yoga poses.

Yoga can improve mental wellbeing and physical health, including strength, flexibility and mobility.

I have been practising Yoga since 2004 and teaching since 2017.

I am qualified to teach Sun Power Yoga (a strong, dynamic practice), Yin Yoga (a quieter practice with a focus on mobility), Meditation and SPY Kidz Yoga for children.

My classes are friendly and fun – building confidence, fitness and overall wellbeing.

What to expect from a class

My classes are open to all and I provide a safe, encouraging and kind learning environment. Poses can be modified to suit all body types and abilities.

Students who wish to explore more advanced versions of poses are also helped to do so. If you do have an injury or condition which may be affected by Yoga practice, please do get in touch before taking part. All enquiries are dealt with in confidence.

In my classes I teach the following:

Asana (poses)
Pranayama (breathing exercises)
Vinyasa (flowing sequences of poses with movements)
Guided Relaxation
Meditation and Mindfulness

By cultivating introspection and inward focus, Yoga can help us all develop a greater awareness and respect for our minds, bodies and the natural world around us.

The practice of Ahimsa (non-harm) is always an area of focus within classes. By honouring and respecting ourselves and others we can all live more peaceful and contented lives, both on and off the mat.
